As industrial and employment based-companies have adapted to the emergence of "Just-In-Time" delivery systems and other technological advances, they are restructuring their operations and corporate philosophies to remain current in a fast-paced environment and to position themselves for long-term growth. WND has been involved in helping companies and municipalities effectively manage and prepare plans for industrial sites and areas and adapt regulatory frameworks to better fit current operational requirements, more effectively service their markets, and realize long-term land use goals and objectives.
WND was retained by the Town of Halton Hills, Ontario to prepare this initial comprehensive study of the 401 Corridor Industrial Area to reflect the changing context of development opportunities, respond to development pressures existent in the area and develop a comprehensive implementation strategy. The success of the 401 Industrial Corridor Area is considered by many to be of critical importance to the Town's future, with its strategic location offering a high degree of exposure and accessibility within the Greater Toronto Area.
WND has been retained to provide land use planning advice and historical planning research to assist Inco Limited in resolving various outstanding legal matters involving its operations and facilities in Port Colbourne, Ontario.
