On behalf of Canadian Tire Limited, WND was retained to develop a master plan for a 20 hectare site located in a corridor between Highway 401 and Sheppard Avenue East surrounding Provost Drive. The site represented the largest redevelopment site along the new Sheppard Avenue Subway corridor, with direct access to two subway stations along that line. The approved master plan features a newly-designed Canadian Tire store, mixed-use and office buildings, up to 4000 high density residential units, significant amounts of public parkland, two schools, and a community centre.

WND worked in close collaboration with the City of Toronto and representatives of the local community through a complex planning process to ensure that the proposed redevelopment was responsive to area needs and concerns. WND was also responsible for the preparation of a plan of subdivision, zoning by-law amendment and site plan approval in conjunction with the development of the master plan.
