WND was responsible for the planning and development of the McLevin Woods Community on a 17 hectare parcel in the northeast part of the City of Toronto. The site had previously been cleaned in the 1980s, removing all necessary contaminated materials. The result today is a planned community of almost 600 residential dwellings interspersed with open space and wooded areas occupying more than a quarter of the site. WND provided and continues to provide project management services for the development of this community including the coordination of a broad range of consultants which has led to final municipal approvals and contributed to a highly successful program for disposal of lands by the federal real estate group.
