Minto Midtown is a major planning, urban design and intensification project approved for in excess of 900,000 square feet of residential and commercial development located adjacent to the intersection of Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue, a significant rapid transit node near the centre of the new City of Toronto. The development is comprised of two residential towers measuring 51 and 38 storeys in height rising from a five storey podium with a mixture of office, residential and street-related retail uses. Minto Midtown will feature the highest degree of architectural excellence in terms of design, building materials and enhancement of the pedestrian realm through the development of street-related retail and a mid-block open space courtyard.

This mixed-use development was considered by the City and residential ratepayers groups in the context of an extensive focused review process which addressed the issues of density, height, sun-shadow, wind, transportation infrastructure, municipal servicing and its potential impact on adjacent low density residential areas. By addressing all of these issues, this project achieved a superior level of urban quality while minimizing the possibility of negative impacts on adjacent uses. WND acted as the principal land-use planners for Minto on this project, working in combination with advisors in other specialized disciplines.
