The West Don Lands represent a substantial tract of land owned by Ontario Realty Corporation (ORC) abutting the Don River and the Canadian Pacific/National Railroad Marshalling Yards east of the City of Toronto's downtown core (also referred to as the Ataratiri Lands). These lands represent a significant opportunity for the City to address future employment and housing needs through the reuse and remediation of past industrial sites and the implementation of flood-proofing measures.
Working closely with flood control experts and soil remediation specialists, WND has provided strategic advice to the ORC in its efforts to bring Provincially owned lands to effective use.
