Visualization

Visualization techniques are quickly becoming important communication tools in the practice of planning and urban design. WND utilizes advanced computer graphic generation technology to prepare photo and sun-shadow simulations as part of this communicative process to illustrate the potential visual and shadow impacts associated with proposed development projects on the surrounding environs. WND utilizes these new technologies in a variety of circumstances including presentations to public authorities, public consultation processes, pre-emptive mitigation during the design process, negotiations processes and Ontario Municipal Board hearings.

Photo-Simulations

The photo-simulation process involves the utilization of composite images or photo montages, along with state-of-the-art computer technology, to set a photographic image or simulated three-dimensional model into an exact environment. "Before" and "After" scenarios are created to provide a photo-realistic simulation of the way a design concept or development proposal will appear upon completion.
